Personally I'd love some sort of "tow" function. Maybe with a sort of tractor beam that needs a great deal of energy and also consumes 2-3 energy cells when warping with a towed ship. That way we could bring a captured ship to the next repair station in order to deinstall their components. Same func...

I would really love a rescue mission where you have to board an enemy ship to free prisoners and bring them back to safety.

That would be pretty interesting and challenging and could potentially be solved in several different ways. 8-)

I think a big part of this problem is due to the hud display in the upper right that keeps everyone informed about your and your enemies ship at all times. Yeh, the good equipment needs some downsides.
