This was probably the most ridiculous bug I've seen in this game for a long time. To elaborate, we were in a ship that I'd spend a couple of hours upgrading the day before (with "hacked" credits) I sent Casauchi the save file so he could host We got on fine for a while, then entered the Grim Cutlass...

just a thought, would a mess of ships like this have any means of generating artificial gravity? Being in a zero-G environment might not only make the hub unique, but allow some interesting angular level design that might reflect the randomness of derelict ships coming together...

I meant for this to be an integral ship component instead of a weapon. I want it to be something in the Science Lab, not the Weapons Bay.

A+ idea

Just to clarify, do you mean as a new integral ship component, or as a new type of interchangeable weapon turret? I like maplealmond's idea of making this station (or even the entire turret) into a way for the scientist to direct and manipulate the sensors at specific targets

I'd love this to be implemented. Even just a limited level of customisation - base colour, logos/decals etc - would really add a lot. There's also the possibility that preset paintjobs for different ships become a kind of semi-rare collectible / reward for achievements?
