Why have it be automatic. make that a science or engineer thing. shield frequency. a 3 digit number. if you get theirs you can tune your weapons / transporter to "ignore it". Also add a science program for a "chance" to obtain their frequency. and a program to "rotate shield frequency" so that if th...

every few patches some of them get changed / updated. since all the features are not in it is hard to say what "finished" looks like but know they are constantly evolving.

Another thing that could be added are science viruses that causes feedback (damage) to a specific system. That way even with shields up systems take damage / catch on fire with viruses. Also add to the arsenal of viruses for science if warp / shield boost is moved to engineering like it should be.

I noticed this too. even an EM sweep didn't uncover it. I had the pilot fly around and we eventually found the abandoned ship. I kind of like that you don't warp right into it.
