  • How about enemy hub?

    Hub Located: random infected sector

    Allowed to visit:
    All factions

    History:
    Ancient organisms that began to infect all around. He seeks to gain control over the entire galaxy, and / or destroy it. For years, he grew and created offspring that zaradalo neighboring sectors.

    The infected Overmind, organic structure that control all infected. Crew that found them can teleport inside, and left the pilot in the ship, his mission dodge spores. Other crew members hsve s mission to find and destroy а brain. If its done all infected in their sectors become immobile and do not attack players.

  • I like it but stopping all other infected sounds a bit too OP

  • I like everything about the encounter idea and having to fight your way in. but what if the hive mind is a misunderstood life form. What if this hive mind was the original, a peaceful race that had parasitic way of reproducing but didn't start by infecting intelligent life forms. Untill one day.....a split happened and a rouge child spore started expanding out Aggressively! The orginal hive mind ended up hiding it self and was only acted in self defense when you showed up. When you get in and establish contact it tells you the story about how it's sisters are out of control and sanctions your team to eliminate the rouges as missions.

    now THAT sounds like interesting gameplay.

  • This sounds like it has the potential for excellent high level game play.

    A constant exterior threat that requires the ship to stay on it's toes and defend itself. Respawning organisms inside the structure (coming out of the biomass walls) would mean you can't clear the inside either. Make it more of a smash and grab location where it is more about seeing how long you can stick around rather than clear the sector.

    As a reward for the challenge, I'm thinking the interior of the infected structure would have a higher chance of spawning research materials?

  • ABSOLUTELY AWESOME IDEA!

    This should be a super boss of the game. Hard space battle, breakthrough and hard ground battle.
