  • I just want to be the first to say that Cornelia station looks AMAZING!

Also, there should be some areas that are infested with spiders :D

  • The station looks very cool! Going there with the starting warp drive proved not to be a good idea, however, as I seem to have trapped myself.

    As for exterior design ideas:

The station looks like it was built into an asteroid, which would make sense with the look and feel of it. If it was built from spare ships, then it probably isn't the highest budget operation, so it would make sense to make the few parts go as far as possible. Utilizing some sort of cavern system in an asteroid would do most of the work for the builders of this place.

  • From what I understand this station will be full of NPC's right?

When I think about this I think of things similar to how the Citadels stores are in Mass Effect 2 and 3.

I also keep thinking about the Skull space station from Guardians of the Galaxy, which looks like its been engineered from existing ships and stations and made inhabitable.

Basically stalls, Makeshift displays and signs, posters for unknown space bands, and propaganda from the zones that are inhabiting the galaxy around it.

I hope these help, if I have any other Ideas i'll post them here.

  • Station looks great so far. Some shops, spiders (as TeslaCuil mentioned), maybe a strange char with some info would add some flavor, even a couple of recessed caves with maybe a char or item.

I saw someone mention the Lost Colony is a real place that can be discovered (if I read it correctly), have you considered leaving small artifacts around that are clues to it's location; maybe even a hint from some person on some planet.

I believe it's Sector 0, so just go for that.

Via this dev log for Pre Beta 2, it mentions that as the captain, if you hit enter to open the chat box, and type in ".cornelia", it should warp the ship there for you to board.

IIRC, there's no exterior, and the interior is just a mockup of possibility... but at least you get a chance to explore it in person!

Also, I suggest doing it on a fresh game, because it's possible that it warps your ship to a sector that's impossible for you to leave (no other sectors within your jump range).
