Since we are able to go over the 10 or 10 missile it would be nice and make sense that the main gun bay can hold the 10 but every 10 or so after that take up cargo space in the cargo hold

Yeah I want that too, but maybe also you need to have maybe a AUX system called 'Missile Reload' so that it takes some power to store more missiles or something like that.
