  • What is a good ship to ease my way into the game?i prefer starting on a science ship but I would like some feed back from players already in the game.

  • The Intrepid I think was the first ship in the game and it's a good one to learn on since the sections are labeled and the layout is simple.

also a decent, solid ship in general, with useful bonii
the bonus to diplomacy helps, given the limited methods of increasing standing with factions without alignment-affecting missions (in this case the AOG and WD corp if you start as a CU ship),the warp range bonus is always decent, and the starting loadout isn't too bad either ^^

  • It depends on the type of play style you prefer.
If you like ease of access and simplicity, I'd go with the Intrepid.
If you like damage and sustain, I'd go with the Roland or the W.D. Destroyer.
If you like to deal enough damage and take enough damage to survive, but want better maneuverability, I'd go with the W.D. Cruiser.
If you like stealth gameplay, I'd go with the Stargazer.
If you like science gameplay, I'd go with the Outrider.
If you like mostly passive gameplay, I'd go with the Fluffy One.

The carrier is a wildcard. It supports stealth, cargo, and passive gameplay, and has the unique ability of picking up more scrap compared to others, but doesn't stand a great chance in a fight.

  • Yes, I agree with you, this all depends on your choice of games.
