ive been running a custom AI preset from the steam discussions (works very well actually!), and im struggling with up-arming my crew- are there certain weapon's they'll NEVER take, or is there something specific you have to do to get them to take it out of the locker? if it turns out its a carry weight limitation or something i'll feel VERY silly.
*coughs* might be a good idea to add how to do this to the manual- i cant work out how to do it again and ive DONE it before (my rule of thumb used to be non-ammo using weapons only, but the wepbot's rejecting that +2 smugglers pistol...)

Currently it's a pretty limited system, we are planning on making that area more user friendly before we reach version 1.0. Sorry about the inconvenience!
