Pulsar_lostcolony.exe phoning home to *.cloud.unity3d.com servers...

Post by ant » Tue Aug 21, 2018 2:35 pm

Hello.

Why is Pulsar_lostcolony.exe phoning home to *.cloud.unity3d.com servers (perf-events.cloud.unity3d.com, cdp.cloud.unity3d.com, data-optout-service.uca.cloud.unity3d.com, and config.uca.cloud.unity3d.com) via its SSL port (443)?

I hope to get an answer to this soon.

Hello ant,

The game makes an initial check for data privacy opt-in settings. The reporting / analytics is disabled on the game side but the system makes an initial check with Unity even if reporting is off. Updates to the Unity engine and how we interact with the reporting system should resolve unnecessary communication in a future update.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention, hope that answers your question!

Thanks. For now, I will block all these Unity's phone home connections.
