Melee weapons?

After boarding a WD ship and having a fire fight I had a thought. Wouldn't it be cool if alliance crews had some crude melee weapons. It would give the alliance of gentlemen feel more like cutthroat pirates and give them a unique way to fight other crews that the Union and the WD don't

Adding melee weapons is something our team thinks would be cool, but it's not in the plans at the moment. We considered adding them a while ago, but they were dropped in favor of more gun types.
