Linux - Constant crashing

Post by Geari » Fri Jun 12, 2020 9:22 am

----------------------------
Bug Report
----------------------------
OS: Ubuntu 18.04.4 LTS
Game Version: 29.2 & 29.3
Date and Time Encountered (DD/MM/YY, HH:MM (12h format)): Any time game is played
----------------------------
Possible Conflicting Software (such as firewalls and anti-virus): None
Severity: Unplayable
Description of Bug: Game crashes to desktop after 10-15 minutes
Steps to Reproduce: Happens any time I run Pulsar
Possible Workaround:
----------------------------
Screenshots and/or Video:
----------------------------
Notes:
I have tried many steps to see what could be causing it. I have not tried online play, this is always in Singleplayer. I have tried playing with bots, and without, with custom AI orders, and without. The crashing does not seem to be related to any particular action either, I have crashed during combat, on an away mission, and on Outpost 448. I have tried playing in windowed mode, native resolution and reduced resolution, the game ALWAYS crashes after 10-15 minutes of running.

Below, I have attached 2 examples of my Player.log, the first one is from version 29.2, and the second from 29.3
----------------------------
Hardware Configuration:

CPU: Intel® Pentium(R) CPU G3258 @ 3.20GHz × 2
GPU: Nvidia GeForce 750TI
RAM: 12GB

Sorry for the issue, thanks for the report

Might be worth it to retest after updating to Beta 29.5+ due to the engine updates

We haven't had this come up in testing, but I will look into it if you are still having the issue
