Mission enemy count and placement bugs.

Post by AnAxolotl » Mon Sep 11, 2023 8:43 am

Something rather inexplicably inconsistent, while playing through W.D, C.U and A.O.G, I've noticed that certain missions, namely "Planetary Bombardment" of W.D's storyline and "The Drafters" to give an easy couple of names, have a habit of spawning enemies inside walls or deep underground. I'm presuming its because the mission is counting an extra enemy that normally doesn't exist and as such panic-spawns an enemy in a sort of 'null' area. This is of course complete speculation from someone who doesn't know much at all about game development. Stranger off, sometimes it works completely fine in another save file.

I apologize if this has already been reported countless times over, and this is just annoying to see another post calling it out, but I just wanted to try and help bring light to the issue. I love this game, and I'd really hate to see it die off because of a few bugs like this that may be more common then I've encountered.

An edit: To anyone who sees this page and encounters this bug, it can sometimes be fixed by closing the game and reloading the save, regardless of what stage of the quest you're on. This doesn't always work, and could take a few tries, but I've managed to achieve this a few times.

I've experienced this bug too while playing W.D and A.O.G, and it can be frustrating to deal with enemies spawning inside walls or underground. I still love playing it and look forward to future updates.
