Drone Overseer aggros on friendly units

Symptom: C.U. Drone Overseers will aggro to any friendly units engaged in combat. Returning fire or destroying the Overseer results in reputation loss.
Replication: Warp to any Random sector containing the Overseer and at least one friendly ship. On any ship entering combat, the Overseer will begin firing on it. Will replicate immediately if there are already hostile vessels like raiders in-system.

FUN update: Looks like the W.D. Drone Overseers do this as well. Warped into a sector and it decided to not only shoot a friendly W.D. Warrior but also a Fluffy Biscuit ship who happened to be in-system. For reference, I was playing CU, not WD and saw this replicate. I guess the robot uprising is happening on the drone overseer ships.

Bandit Drone Overseers too. At least we know it isn't something limited just to one or two factions.

Drone overseers are healers, they shoot healing at allies

In this case, you can try to avoid engaging in combat near the Overseers or try to lure the enemy vessels away from the Overseers before engaging in fnf combat.

Manufacturers often release updates to address bugs or improve Mini Crossword performance. Updating the firmware and software may resolve any underlying issues that could be causing the drone overseer to target friendly units.
