Custom Ships

What is going to be the situation for custom ships? I know the ship maker will probably have to have the program that you guys are using to make the game, but are they going to be able to make ships and use them during the alpha? If they can, is it as simple at dragging and dropping the ships files to a folder in the game directory, and is uninstalling the ship just as easy? I think i remember you guys saying something about that you would let people make custom ships in the games full release but they did need the program that you guys are using, and eventually you would make an easier way for people to use/make ships.

Sorry for any misunderstands that may have happened but currently PULSAR will not allow players to create a ship from scratch. You might been referring to the ability to mod the game, this however is still a feature that is uncertain. If we raise enough funding to purchase a source code licence for Unity we can probably create an editor that will allow modders to poke around and create content.

Even if we do reach the funding amount, creating an editor and having the engine dynamically load content into the game will probably be a feature that will take a while to implement. Don't worry though, we are in this for the long haul!
